Euphoria's Sam Levinson and Zendaya have joined forces on another project, which sees the actress starring alongside BlacKkKlansman breakout star/Tenet lead John David Washington. The pair will kick off 2021 with Malcolm & Marie, which is set to air on Netflix on February 5.Today, we have our first taste of the romance flick with a new trailer. The clip sees Washington portraying the titular Malcolm and Zendaya as Marie, his girlfriend, as the couple return from a movie premiere and "the evening takes a turn as revelations about their relationship surface, testing the couple's love."
Written and shot during the pandemic, the movie was filmed at the Caterpillar House, a private home in Carmel, CA. Kevin Turen and Ashley Levinson helmed Malcolm & Marie's production alongside Sam Levinson, Zendaya and Washington. Netflix acquired the film back in September after a virtual promo at TIFF.
