'The Eric Andre Show' Gets Season 5 Premiere Date
The surreal talkshow returns to the air in October
Published Sep 10, 2020While he may not be taking over The Ellen Show, Eric Andre still has a fifth season of The Eric Andre Show to attend to. Now, Adult Swim has set a premiere date for the next round of episodes.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the fifth season of The Eric Andre show premieres on October 25 at midnight.
The 10-episode season is said to promise "tortured celebrities, ethically complex street pranks, and severely injured rappers," with guests including Judy Greer, NBA star Blake Griffin, Luis Guzman, Omarion, Adam Rippon, Dermot Mulroney, Tia Carrere, Robin Givens, and Jai Rodriguez.
Last year, Andre told EW that the forthcoming fifth season would be one "of ultimate decadence," explaining, "I waxed my entire body, got over 200 pounds, and slept in a tanning bed...I also got a new, super 'expensive' set that looks like Liberace f—ed a Japanese game show."
Along with some exclusive first-look photos, Andre also teased the appearance of characters Bench Mensch ("he's an anthropomorphic bench who helps civilians out pro bono! He's basically my mom") and the Ranch It Up! guy "in his final form." You can see those here, and can find some more looks at Andre's seasonal style below.
The Eric Andre Show's fourth season premiered way back in October 2016, but it's not as if Andre has been inactive in the time since.
Between the show's fourth and fifth seasons, Andre has released short specials Eric Andre Does Paris and KRFT PUNK'S Political Party!, and stand-up special Legalize Everything. His long-awaited prank movie Bad Trip was sold to Netflix in May, with a release date yet to be determined.
Last year, Andre released an album as Blarf.
